Shower kids with love notes

PREPARATION TIME: 5 minutes | AGE: 1 - 3 years old +

Surprises, both giving and receiving, fill my heart with joy. On my first trip alone after having my son, I left a drawing under my son's pillow, and the video of his happiness thanking me is a memory I treasure. Since then, I've continued these gestures whenever I'm away or when he and his dad go on a trip. It's a way to show him I'm thinking of him and that he is deeply loved, no matter the distance.

Now, my son leaves little notes for me too, creating a beautiful exchange of affection. We even have a love mailbox crafted from a shoebox, placed by his door, where we leave random messages for each other, expressing our love through these sweet gestures.

As new beginnings, like the start of kindergarten or a new school year, can be challenging, we can support each other by leaving tiny notes in lunch boxes or backpacks, reminding each other of our love and strength. Messages like "I love you," "I am always with you," "You are strong and brave," and "You can do this", either written or drawn, can make a world of difference and provide a source of comfort throughout the day. These simple acts of love create a bond that strengthens us as a family, making us more confident to be out in the world.

I discovered the power of thoughtful notes thanks to my husband. His notes gave me wings, inspiring and uplifting me.
